Making IT Management Even Simpler
VMware has rolled out VMware Go Pro™ 2.1 to help small and midsized businesses (SMBs) manage their IT environments. VMware Go Pro, developed by Shavlik for VMware, is a comprehensive cloud-based service that enables SMBs to consolidate, control, and secure their physical and virtual IT infrastructure. With the latest release of VMware Go Pro, it is even easier to use with added functionality and simpler navigation. This online service not only guides users of any expertise level through the installation and configuration of VMware vSphere™ Hypervisor, but now offers many new features that can help a user easily manage their physical and virtual IT environment. Here’s what you’ll find today at VMware Go Pro.
Enhanced VMware Go Home Page. Now VMware Go Pro has the same familiar look and feel as VMware.com. If you’re an avid VMware user, the site’s appearance and layout will be very familiar to you. Just use your VMware.com login and password to access VMware Go.
Improved Support for VMware Go Pro Users. Users can now submit a support request on the VMware Go Pro Support page by completing the online form. The support request is immediately submitted to a support team who respond within 12 business hours.
Simplified Site Navigation. All site navigation can now be done using the easier-to-use left side navigation bar. The left bar has five main categories which include Home, Virtualization Quick Start, Manage Hardware, Manage Software, Patch Management, and Help Desk. Each of these can be clicked on to expand your options and to manage all activities within VMware Go Pro.
Enhanced Capability with Hardware Asset Grouping. Now a user can organize their assets by creating and managing groups using the following options. View groups with filter option, create groups, edit groups, and delete groups.
Simple Help Desk User Portal. Now an IT Admin can set up a cloud-based help desk for their company through VMware Go Pro. Employees can create and submit their own tickets online. IT Admins can manage these tickets. Email notifications are automatically sent to employees confirming their submitted tickets and also updating them on any changes the IT admin makes to the ticket.
